John,

Are you or anyone else from '86 still using this site?  I'm really sorry to hear about Billy, I can still picture him after 22 years.  I'd love to get in touch with some old classmates.

I just happened to see this website by chance. I am so sorry for the Buttner family. I knew Billy very well. I lived five houses down from him on Millpage Drive. This is so sad and I didnt even know he was gone.

Billy Buttner of class 1986 Plainedge High School is dead.

Buttner, William   BUTTNER-William, of Bethpage, on March 31, 2006. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Isernia). Loving father of Kaitlyn and Brandon. Cherished son and son-in-law of Felicia and Robert Buttner and Joann and Ralph Isernia. Loving brother of Thomas, Robert, and Kevin. Loving uncle of Christina and T.J. Visiting, Monday, 7-9:30 PM, and Tuesday, 2-5 and 7-9:30 PM, at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 234 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714. Funeral Mass, Wednesday morning, at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Bethpage. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y. Published in Newsday on 4/3/2006.

How will God swallow up death, bringing the enemy death to nothing?

The Bible clearly says that the righteous . . . will live forever. But it also says that there is no righteous man on earth who always does good. (Ecclesiastes 7:20) To conquer death, will God abandon his own standard? That is unthinkable! He will never do so, because God . . . cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) What, then, will God do to fulfill his loving purpose in creating humans?
