Didn't remember that, as I was one of those students that had to go to Robert E. Picken for Kindergarten, when you were in 3rd. I only got to go with you to Baldwin ...when you were in 4-5 and 6th.. Remember-you LET me carry your violin -and me and Nancy would fight whose turn it was to hold. You didn't care-cause you were just so glad you didn't have to carry it youself!!!
Waht school did she teach in? Baldwin Dr? I remember almost all the teachers there. Why-I have no clue? But if it's the same teacher, did she have red hair? I happened to bump into Mrs. Horn about 20 years ago at the Plainedge Lib. And also met her daughter about a year ago, who had informed me that she had passed. I didn't have these two teachers but I can remember the hallways iin Baldwin and I especially remember Mrs. Hoffman-who's classroom always had her perfume pouring out into the hall!
She was my 2nd grade teacher. Remember her well. She had a very postive impact on me as well. Funny when I saw your e-mail I immediately smiled. Cheers.
I have happiest memories of plainedge. my grade 4 teacher, Mrs. Hertz, was a kind, sweet and supportive teacher. I shall remember her always. In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work. It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years. ~Jacques Barzun
