Hi Just stumbled upon this site and wanted to let people know that I am still alive and kicking and working at a newspaper. Some things never change. I am a copy editor as well as the movie critic and DVD reviewer here at the Journal & Courier in Lafayette, Ind., which is owned by Gannett, which owns USA Today. This week, my DVD column began being syndicated by the Gannett News Service, so if any of you live in a city or town served by a Gannett newspaper and see a column of DVD reviews by Bob Bloom, that is I. Would love to hear from any old classmates. I can be reached at bloomjc@yahoo.com. Bob

I graduated in 1966 and was wondering if there will be a 40 year reunion. I live in Garden City now and went to a party in Massapequa yesterday. It brought back memories of the past.
Yes, I graduated in 1966 and my sister (Linda) in 1971. After college I lived in several states but mostly in the Philly area and now in Texas for the past 10 years. Texas sure doesn't look like North Massapequa!
Haven't been back since 1992 but hope to visit someday.
Hi Lorraine: I'd love to know where your sister Elise is? If you can, ask her to write me at ljc53@bellsouth.net. I left in 68 and moved to Florida but we were very close for 7th, 8th and 9th grade. 40 years...holy toledo!
Hello Lorraine...You don't know me, but I graduated in '69 with Marilyn. I've lived in Tampa since returning from Viet Nam in '73. Retired from Tampa P.D. in '03 after 28 years. If I remember correctly, your dad was a dentist and you lived just off of Hicksville Road just north of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway. Please say hello to Marilyn for me.
Interesting prospective of the difference of attitude and in just a few years can bring. But as we learned from 911 that things can change in a day. My brother Steve was from the class of 69 as well.
Do you ever come back to Long Island?
I live 90 miles west of DC since 1987. In Shenandoah County VA.
hi mark, 1966-I think we were still pretty innocent back then, we wern't that concerned about the war as yet and we were still optimistic about the future.. My sister Marilyn graduated with the class of 69-big difference in our views at the time.
I havn't lived on Long Island since 1967 (I lived on Kildare Crescent) . I've lived in NYC, Washington dc , St Maarten (Caribbean) and now in Pa.
Life hasnt been dull!!!
Its funny now matter where you go you never forget those high school years-its good to have a place to reconnect!
Lorraine, You ask how did 40 years go by? I am from the class of l959--47 years!?!!?! My sister Luce would would have been from the class of 1966, but we moved to California in 1960. If you hear of any all-class reunions, let me know as I am getting nostalgic in my old age....
Mark, What a great idea this posting board is!! It brings back memories of growing up and of my home on 80 Cedar Drive and of how when I first moved to Long Island from the Bronx, in 1948, I attended Plainedge Elementary which was literally a two-room school house. Coming from P.S. 106 in Parkchester it was really culture shock for the six-year old that I was.
